"Don't go looking for trouble." That’s what I
heard in my head every time I walked toward the clouds, toward the nothing,
toward the edge of safety. I should stay where I am supposed to, but, in the
end, the edge calls to me. Beyond the edge, there was something out there. I
knew it. But to find it meant leaving behind everyone that mattered. Taking a
deep breath, I put one foot in front of the other. The mist got thicker as I
neared where I knew the edge was supposed to be. Just a few more steps and then
my world would change forever.
