The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Christmas time is here again!  It's hard to believe this time of year has rolled around again so quickly. I feel like it was just last year we were setting up the Christmas tree, putting the decorations on the porch and wrapping presents.  But, the reality is another year has quickly passed us by! 


All in all, 2009 was a very good year.  We were blessed with reasonably good health (my silly gall bladder not withstanding), good friendships and good times with family.  We took a great vacation and welcomed the cutest little puppy in the world into our family.  And it's been a good 2009.


As I write this, most of the Christmas activities at work have slowed down, and I am grateful for that.  It was a very busy beginning of December - and even busier for Tim's coworkers than it was for him.  Every year it seems like it's getting harder and harder to just be okay with the craziness of the holiday season.  I have my moments of self-pity, but I know in the end that it's all good stuff and that the Reason for christmas is more important than my evening plans for a few weeks.  Sometimes it's soo hard to keep that in perspective.


We have a busy week ahead of travel, food and family.  I am looking forward to all of it - seeing Tim's family, seeing my family and just having a week to hang out with Tim and Madison, wherever we may be that day!
