When Dreams Come True...

Every day Tim and I get closer to the wedding. Every day is one day closer to having a Big Dream come true. I cannot believe the wedding is Saturday. I cannot believe that this day I've been praying about and thinking about for so long is so close to being here. I can't believe, after all this time, that Tim chose me. I thank God for bringing us together and for the way He has orchestrated the path of our lives to get us to this place. Our meeting was unique and wonderful, as has our relationship been since that point. It's hard to put into words how wonderful he is and how much he has brought out the emily that I didn't know was in there. I used to read this poem and wonder if i would find a person that truly did all of the things it says. And then I met Tim and the poem, and my dreams, came true.

Love
by:Roy Croft

I love you,
Not for what you are,
But for what I am
When I am with you.

I love you,
Not only for what
You have made for yourself,
But for what You are making of me.I

love you,
For that part of me
That you bring out;
I love you
For putting your hand
Into my heaped-up heart
And passing over
All the foolish, weak things
That you can't help
Dimly seeing there.

And for drawing out
Into the light
All the beautiful belongings
That no one else had looked
Quite far enough to find.

I love you because you
Are helping me to make
Of the lumber of my life
Not a tavern
But a temple:
Out of the works
Of my every day
Not a reproach
But a song.

I love you
Because you have done
More than any creed
Could have done
To make me good,
And more than any fate
Could have done
To make me happy.

You have done it
Without a touch,
Without a word,
Without a sign.

You have done it
By being yourself
Perhaps that is what
Being a friend means
After all.

New Blog Buddy & Wedding Buddy

i've added a couple new blog links! Visit my new friend Nicole and her soon-to-be husband Stan and say hi! They're getting married the same day as Tim and I and met through Blogger. how great of a story is that?!!?!

Today's accomplishments:
Falling in love with Tim a little more
Finalizing everything with the DJ
Getting the marriage license
Finishing the Wedding Timeline

15 Days!!! 15 Days!!!

In case you haven't looked at the top of the blog or done the math yourself, Tim and I are getting married in 15 days!

Somehow all the stuff that still needs to be done; programs that need printed, ribbon that needs tied, apartments that need cleaned...none of it seems to matter as much as this: in 15 days I will stand before God, family, and friends, and make a promise, a vow, to love, honor and cherish Tim for the rest of the time God gives me to live. Wow! That is the most amazing thing of all. That's what matters. I got the cutest card from my future mother-in-law this weekend. She reminded me to keep breathing and to focus on "saying your vows to Tim in front of preacher Tom. That's what we're really going for here." It's so true, though. The rest of it is just icing on the cake (the yummy beautiful wedding cake). No one will remember whether or not we personally signed all the favors. No one will remember if the bow fell off their bottle of coca-cola or if some of the curl falls out of my hair. No one will remember missed notes or imperfect anything. they will remember our vow and our promise to love and be loved for as long as we both shall live.

I'm getting married in 15 days! And I cannot WAIT!!!

It's OCTOBER

On November 13, when Tim proposed, October seemed like a lifetime and a half away. Now, it's here!!! In just 19 days I'll be Mrs. Tim Bedwell!! That's insane to me. A good insane, but insane nonetheless. The to-do list is a bit overwhelming, but I'm just plugging along and hoping to get one thing done every day. Good grief. Maybe i should plan on getting 2 things done every day. I'm starting to think about packing for the honeymoon (so I don't accidentally move those clothes to the new apartment) and tonight I need to write thank-yous for the great shower I had on Friday. I need to call the cake lady with the final number, give the number to the caterer, figure out how many tables and what tablecloths...write the letters to my girls, do a bunch of other stuff...but, it'll all get done...it may take forever, but it will all get done!

In other news, the Jimmy Dean commercials with the sun and the cloud and the moon and all that kind of bother me. i'm not a big fan of people dressed up as random objects...whoppers, celestial bodies, food, etc...it's all kinda creepy to me.
