I don't like this blog template. I want another one. But, I don't like any of the ones that blogger has right now. Anyone know where I can get a good one? Anyone?

Reason Number 8 Million...
...why I have the best fiance the world has ever seen.
My mom and I are going to (probably) do the Susan Komen Breast Cancer 5k Run/Walk on April 22 in Indianapolis. Because of some stuff that happened last year, it's really important for me to do this walk with her. She's amazing and has survived breast cancer and was alone for a similar walk last year. Anyway, after mom and I started talking about it, I went to say something to Tim and realized that his best friend from high school is getting married in Nashville (TN) that same day. I figured I would see if mom would do the Evansville walk or something instead. Because it's a good friend and someone I know Tim is close to and I am going to be his wife and I want to be a part of things that are important to him.
But, you know what he did? He told me to go on the walk. That the only people I would know at the wedding would be him and his parents and that he knows how important this is to me. He knows how upset I was about what happened with mom last year and that this has become a cause I will support my entire life. He knows that my mom is my best friend and I love her more than words. He knows me. And he said it was okay to go. That is was good. That he was okay with it.
I fell in love all over again today.

Wow...
You know the phrase "one of those days?" Well, January has turned into on of those MONTHS. I can't believe how busy i've been or how fast it's gone. Weeks have flown by without me really noticing, and that's NOT a good sign. I really should write a real post, but this seemed easier, and more fun. Thanks Meagan! Take good care of sick Poppy. Maybe rehab will be good for her :)
Remember High School?
1) Where did you graduate from? Central Noble High School.
2) Did you have school pride? I guess. I was in the pep band…does that count?
3) Was your prom a night to remember? Junior prom was a heartbreaking ordeal. Senior prom involved a VERY bad magician we HAD to stay and watch, but it was still entertaining, I guess.
4) Do you own all 4 yearbooks? I do. Somewhere. One is an ugly green color. The other three are burgandy.
5) What was the worst trouble you ever got into? Nothing official, but I think rene and I caused a lot of trouble for a certain less than nice band director we had.
6) What kind of people did you hang out with? We had a small school, so pretty much everyone. Hung out with the theater people and the band people and the smart people….
7) What was your number 1 choice of college in HS? I honestly thought about UCLA, but ended up with IU, which was one of the three schools I applied to and was accepted to.
8) What radio station did you jam out to in high school? Uh… 97.3 in some form…it’s changed names and formats like 100 times since then, though.
9) Were you involved in any organizations or clubs? Oh yeah. Band, theater, National Honor Society, Spanish….all the really exciting things
10) What were your favorite classes in high school? English and anatomy.
11) Who was your big crush in high school? There were a couple, but probably Aaron whatshisname that was a year younger than me in school.
12) Would you say you've changed a lot since high school? Oh yeah.
13) What do you miss the most about it? No bills to pay. (amen, Meagan!) and being on stage a lot.
14) Your worst memory of high school? The fight Sara Snott started between Rene and I.
15) Did you have a car? My first car was a 1982 Renault Eagle. It was scary. But, it did the job it needed to do. Once Rene got stuck in the passenger seat because the seatbelt stuck. Nice.
16) What were your school colors? Burgandy and Gold
17) Who were your favorite teachers? Mr. Howell before he up and moved. After that… Who knows. Ms. Knopp, maybe.
18) Did you own a cell phone in high school? No. They were big and bulky and no one used them.
19) Did you leave campus for lunch? Never, unless it was for the doctor.
20) If so, where was your fave place to go eat? Taco Bell catered in a couple times.
21) Were you always late to class? Never, and never without an excuse.
22) Did you ever have to stay for Saturday School? Nope.
23) Did you ever ditch? Nope. I guess a couple sick days I could have made myself go, but ditch, no.
24) When it comes time for the reunion will you be there? Nope. Didn’t go to 5, doubt I’ll go to 10. I mean, I can still name where a lot of the people in my class are!
25) Do you wish you were still in high school? No, but I wish I was still involved in theater like I was then and didn’t have bills to pay!

Oh Yeah
Liz told me this morning that the RENT DVD comes out February 21st. I am VERY excited about adding that to the collection, especially since I only saw it one time in the theater! Liz and I were going to go again when she was down last week, but, alas, it was already gone.
So mark your calendars!
Here are the DVD features!

Which Way is Up?
I think I'm slowly but surely losing my mind. It's probably been coming for awhile, but now it is here. I just don't feel like myself. I feel scatter-brained and forgetful and BUSY! And yes, it's all good stuff that I am busy with, but finding the time to do everything and not be exhausted is a lot harder than I thought it would be for some reason. And, honestly, it's not like I have an extraordinary amount of stuff to do, I think my mind is just off doing a hundred other things when it should be resting. Between end of the year stuff at work, constantly thinking about wedding plans, doing stuff for my other job, and just trying to breathe, I'm starting to feel like I'm maybe spreading myself a tiny bit too thin. And, I have a Bible study starting on the 16th! Goodness gracious, I'm such a glutton for extra work!!
So I started this on Monday if that says anything about how busy I am right now. I can tell I'm busy because I'm getting grumpy and a tiny bit angry at things that I may not really need to be angry about, so that's where I am right now. I'm feeling a bit out of sorts, which is not unusual when I'm stressed out. I think I go through this every few months. And this is my emotional week, so there! That's how I feel...
Anyway, life is good, but busy. Wedding plans are moving steadily along, which is good. I'm really looking forward to the wedding, and REALLY looking forward to our marriage. I know it won't be perfect and we'll have things we need to discuss and work out, but I am so confident that it is going to be a blessed and wonderful life we will have together.
And because I love football and because it's "Blue Friday," I will conclude this post with these words:
Go COLTS!

The Year in Review-Blog Style
I stole this idea from Meagan. Here is one sentence from each month (blog-wise) from this year. Strange how looking back you can see both the serious and the silly side of me!
January
I don’t think ever, in the entire history of time, a phone conversation that begins with the words “Don’t freak out” has kept anyone from doing just that. I should know. It recently happened to me.
February
Last night I had a dream that involved my house, and two mice that spoke in alliteration the whole time.
March
Then I got to work and all it took was a "you'll never guess what so and so did for so and so" and I find myself once again near-tears, fighting my own frustrations and insecurities and fears.
April
Spring is here in Southern Indiana.
May
Liz found a super cool pair of baby blue silk pj bottoms with bright yellow rubber duckies on them and uttered her trademark "shut your face!" (I would like to point out that I don't think I have ever actually been SAYING anything when I was the recipient of this comment!)
June
I'm not quite sure what the world is coming to when "Dancing with the Stars" is the number one show in the country for two weeks in a row.
July
I don't want to have to say goodbye to them, even though I know they are doing exactly what God would have them do.
August
Tim and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on Sunday! it's amazing. he's amazing and I just cannot believe that he chose me and all that good stuff.
September
I have something planned for evweekendkend between now and the middle of October. (This one makes me laugh because of the horrid spelling mistake and the fact that NO ONE mentioned it!!)
October
So today I'm putting in the email addresses of a few new people and they were making me laugh...grown adults using emails like "poohlover4ever" as their primary email.
November
We're getting married!
December:
So, the audition last night...since I know you're all dying to know...I made two very big realizations.
1. I am a theater snob.
2. I miss the stage a lot more than I thought I did.
